Awhina Whanau Services

Have a team of experienced, qualified counsellors to help with issues such as depression, anxiety, domestic violence, sexual abuse, custody advice, self-esteem, coping strategies.

Te Harakeke Child & Adolescent Family Services

Supports children, youths & families experiencing severe behavioral or psychological concerns & emotional distress. Referrals usually come via the individuals GP or other agencies.

Community Mental Health

Community Mental Health consists of two teams, one based at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital and another at Central Hawke’s Bay Health Centre. They focus on mental health & addiciton.

Dedicated to people over 65. Provides info & support in response to older people’s needs, day programmes, visiting services, elder abuse & neglect prevention services.

Provides government advice on strategic social policy, research & evaluation. Fund services like Work & Income and Disability issues.

Assists people with  disability & their family and whanau, to maintain independence in their home and community, or a residential setting.
